Volunteering Campaigns

Volunteering for Homeless Street Cats and Dogs, Making the Difference Together.

Zacare believes in giving back to our community and advocating for those who can’t speak for themselves. Our volunteering initiatives focus on improving the lives of homeless street cats and dogs in Zanzibar.

In Zanzibar, many people are doing their best to help, yet thousands of stray animals still suffer. Animals are the heartbeat of our planet and a vital part of our ecosystem, making their care and protection a cause truly worth fighting for.

Donate and Volunteer to Change Lives

We have different programs that we perform regularly to help strays, including:

Providing Medical Care

Stray animals frequently suffer from untreated injuries or illnesses. Volunteers help coordinate with veterinarians to provide necessary medical care.

Spaying and Neutering

Unchecked breeding among strays leads to overpopulation and consequent issues. Volunteers play a vital role in managing population control programs.

Raising Awareness in the Community

Many local people of Zanzibar are not aware of the rights of animals, particularly dogs and cats because many families don’t own them. Our role is to move through villages to provide education to the people about strays.
